Shri Sanjay Bhattacharyya IFS (1987) presently Ambassador in Turkey , has been appointed as Secretary (CPV & OIA). Shri Sanjay Bhattacharyyahas worked in various capacities in Hong Kong (1989-92), Beijing (1992-95 and 2002-05), Brussels (1998-2001), Tokyo (2007-10), Dhaka (2010-12) and as Ambassador of India to Egypt (2015-18), besides Headquarters. He was Joint Secretary (South) in the Ministry of External Affairs, New Delhi (2012-2015). He assumed charge as Ambassador of India in Turkey in June 2018.
He has contributed a chapter on “India and China: New Directions” in Indian Foreign Policy- Challenges and Opportunities (2007) and “India and Egypt: New Partnership in the New Era” in the inaugural issue of Asian Perspectives published by State Information Service of Egypt (2017).
