Dr Sandeep Rewaji Rathod IAS (Tripura 2009), presently in cadre and serving as Secretary, Rural Development & Panchayats, Government of Tripura, is appointed as Director – Department of Sports,  Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, GoI, Delhi, under the Central Staffing Scheme, with a five-year tenure on central deputation.

Dr Rathod is a qualified MBBS doctor from Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS), having completed his medical studies at Nashik’s Government Medical College.
