Shri.Sarat Kumar Acharya, CMD, NLC was felicitated with Life Time Achievement Award on the concluding day of the “16th Annual Green Tech Sustainability & CSR Conference, 2015 for leading HR , CSR and Sustainability in Corporate India. Shri. Y.S.Chowdary , Hon’ble Union Minister of State for Science , Technology and Earth Sciences, Government of India gave away the award to Shri. S.K.Acharya. A two day programme , “ 16th Annual Green Tech Environment & CSR Conference” organized by the Green Tech Foundation,a non-profit voluntary organisation functioning from New Delhi.The conference was held at Cyberabad Convention Centre, Novotel & HICC Complex , Hyderabad. The Green Tech Foundation, honours the corporate sectors and Individuals for their contribution in the field of environment, CSR and Professional Expertise.
Speaking on the occasion Shri.S.K. Acharya said that these types of awards bring inspiration in oneself and prompts himself to achieve more. In the above function, NLC was honoured with Green Tech CSR award in the platinum category for Metals and Mines sector for its outstanding achievements in the field of CSR. NLC has spent around Rs.48 Crores towards CSR activities during 2014-15. Recently , NLC was felicitated by Government of India for construction of 1414 toilets in 712 schools in the states of Rajasthan and Tamil Nadu at a total cost of Rs.39 Crores, within the targeted time schedule, under Government of India’s “Swachh Bharat Abhiyan”.
