It has been brought to the notice of Shri Nagendra Nath Sinha, Secretary, Department of Rural Development (DoRD), Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India that a false email ID [email protected] created in his name and fraudulent emails to various DoRD stakeholders have been sent.
One particular email being sent from this false ID is regarding closure of projects of a Project Implementing Agency namely; DataPro Computers Pvt. Ltd. under DeenDayal Upadhyaya – Grameen Kaushalya Yojana (DDU-GKY). This fraudulent email has been sent to various State Rural Livelihood Missions and other stakeholders in the skilling ecosystem with the false sign off in the name of Shri Nagendra Nath Sinha, Secretary, Department of Rural Development.
The Department of Rural Development has initiated an investigation in this matter. In the meanwhile it is stated that as the email ID [email protected] a fraudulent email ID, any communication from this ID should be disregarded. Any fraudulent activity carried out by this email ID has no connection whatsoever with Shri Nagendra Nath Sinha, Secretary, Department of Rural Development, Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India.
It is further stated that any official communication from Department of Rural Development, Government of India is issued through official channels and from email domains such as gov.in or nic.in. Emails originating from outside official domain names of Government of India should be checked for their authenticity.
