Ch Praveen Kumar IPS appointed Superintendent of Police, CID, Telangana
Shri Ch Praveen Kumar IPS (Telangana 2017), presently Joint Director, Anti-Corruption Bureau, Telangana, Hyderabad, has been transferred and posted as Superintendent of Police, CID, Telangana.
An officer of the 2017 batch of the Indian Police Service, Shri Ch Praveen Kumar has served in specialised policing assignments in Telangana. His present role as Joint Director in the Anti-Corruption Bureau has provided him with experience in investigative and enforcement-related policing responsibilities.
With the latest order, Shri Praveen Kumar has been posted as Superintendent of Police, CID, Telangana. The new assignment places him in a key role within the state’s specialised criminal investigation structure.
The Criminal Investigation Department handles cases requiring specialised investigation and supervision, and the post of SP involves important responsibilities relating to the monitoring of investigations, coordination of investigative teams and oversight of cases assigned to the department.
His experience in the Anti-Corruption Bureau is expected to be relevant to his new role, particularly in the areas of investigation, evidence-based policing and supervision of specialised cases.
