REC’s World Headquarters building project in Gurugram has been awarded the CIDC Vishwakarma Award Commemorative Medal in the category of Construction Health, Safety and Environment. It is designed to be a bio–climatic building with a playful mix of open, semi-open, enclosed office spaces. The 30m six-storey building will be naturally lit by a linear band of windows along the periphery.
Last year, the project had been presented with the GRIHA award for Integrated Water Management and Energy Management. The building is now in the advanced state of completion.
