REC has sanctioned CSR assistance of Rs. 45.15 lakh to Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi for ‘Distribution of 50 Lap Tops with customized software for visually impaired students pursuing higher education’ to provide barrier free environment for higher education and enable them to pursue professional or technical education and get employed/ self-employed to find a dignified place for themselves in the society. The main objective of the project is to encourage differently- abled students by providing laptops for their empowerment.
