Shri Ravi Mittal IAS (Bihar 1986) presently posted as Principal Secretary, Industries Department, Patna, has been given additional charge of Principal Secretary, Sugarcane Industries Government of Bihar.
Shri Ravi Mittal is a BE in Mechanical Engineering and has done his M.PHIL in Environment Science Development.
He started his Indian bureaucracy career in 1988 as SDO, Collector & D M of Hazaribag (1995-97), Deputy Commissioner of Santhal Parganas(1993-95), Commissioner in Commercial Taxes Department of Patna (2004-07). He has served in Central Cadre as Private Secretary in Ministry of Non-conventional Energy Sources (1997-98) and Adviser in Ministry of Planning (2007-14).
