Ram Sewak Sharma, IAS (Jharkhand 1978) presently posted as Secretary, IT in the Government of India, will be appointed for the post of Chairman, TRAI. Ram Sewak Sharma is a graduate in Physics, Mathematics and Stats. His PG is in Mathematics and is proficient in Russian.
Joining as SDO in 1980, and having served in places like Begusarai, Purnia and Dhanbad, he was on central duty between 1995 to 2002 with Finance and Company Affairs. He has served in Panchayati Raj Dept, Drinking water & sanitation, Science & technology in Jharkhand between 2002 -09. He returned to central cadre in 2009 in the Planning Commission and presently is Secretary IT.
