Smt R Sreelekha IPS (Kerala 1987) presently State Transport Commissioner- Kerala has been appointed as the 1st Woman Director General of Police (DGP) in Kerala . She has served as ASP in Thrissur & Cherthala and SP in Thrissur, Pathanamthitta & Alappuzha. She has worked for almost four years in the Kochi unit of the CBI and is a recipient of the President’s Police Medal for her work with the Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau. Smt Sreelekha has also served as the MD for Rubber Marketing Federation, Kerala State Construction Corporation and Road and Bridge Development Corporation.
