PIB News Update: Union Minister for Steel Shri Dharmendra Pradhan has informed that The details of steel plants in the country, along with their capacity, production and capacity utilisation, during April-July, 2020 are given at Annexure-I. Steel is a deregulated sector. The Government lays down the policy guidelines and establishes the institutional mechanism/structure for creating conducive environment for improving efficiency and performance of the steel sector.
