Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID) – a Maharatna CPSU under Ministry of Power celebrated its 35th raising day across the country with great zeal and enthusiasm. Shri Shripad Yesso Naik, Hon’ble Union Minister of State for Power and New & Renewable Energy, Govt. of India joined the 35th Raising Day celebrations with POWERGRID family at Gurugram today . He congratulated Shri R K Tyagi, CMD POWERGRID and team for enabling One Nation, One Grid, One Frequency and realizing the dream of making one of the largest synchronous grids of the world.
He also praised POWERGRID’s role in Energy Transition. As on 30th September 2024, POWERGRID has commissioned and is operating 279 Sub-stations and more than 1,78,195 ckm transmission lines and 537,276 MVA of transformation capacity. With the adoption of latest technological tools and techniques, enhanced use of automation and digital solutions, POWERGRID has been able to maintain average transmission system availability of about 99.8%.
