Dr Pooja Joshi IAS (AGMUT 2011) appointed as General Manager – Tribal Co-Operative Marketing Development Federation of India (TRIFED) at Bengaluru-South (Karnataka Region) [at Director level , Level-13] on deputation basis under Ministry of Tribal Affairs (a Non-CSS post) for the period upto 30.09.2026.
A scholar with a Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Rajasthan, Jaipur (First Class), Dr. Joshi’s academic foundation is rooted in governance, policy, and social development—qualities that have defined her work in public administration.
Over the years, she has served in diverse capacities across the Government of NCT of Delhi and the Andaman & Nicobar Islands, combining administrative efficiency with a people-centric approach. Most recently, she held the position of Special Secretary in the Finance & Planning Department of Delhi, overseeing expenditure management, fiscal discipline, and financial planning.
Her tenure as Director, Department for Welfare of Disabled & Senior Citizens and Department of Social Welfare in Delhi reflected her strong commitment to social justice and empowerment. She led initiatives aimed at enhancing support systems for vulnerable populations, streamlining welfare schemes, and ensuring targeted service delivery.
In the technology domain, Dr. Joshi served as Special Secretary in the Information Technology Department of Delhi and earlier as Secretary in the Andaman & Nicobar Islands, where she worked on IT infrastructure development and digital governance initiatives. Her role in the Information & Tourism Department of Andaman & Nicobar Islands demonstrated her capacity to blend eco-tourism promotion with sustainable development principles.
Additionally, her assignments as Secretary in the Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board (DSSSB) showcased her expertise in personnel administration, recruitment processes, and human resource management, contributing to greater transparency and efficiency in public sector hiring.
