Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi is set to participate in the closing ceremony of the “Meri Maati Mera Desh” campaign’s Amrit Kalash Yatra, scheduled for October 31, 2023, at Kartavya Path at around 5 PM. This event will also signify the conclusion of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.

During this occasion, the Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone for Amrit Vatika and the Amrit Mahotsav Memorial. He will address thousands of Amrit Kalash Yatris hailing from various parts of the country.

Additionally, the Prime Minister will launch the “Mera Yuva Bharat (MY Bharat)” platform, aimed at empowering the youth of India.

The “Meri Maati Mera Desh” campaign is a tribute to the bravehearts who made the supreme sacrifice for the nation. It encompassed various activities and ceremonies conducted at different levels, including building memorials, taking pledges, planting indigenous saplings, and honoring freedom fighters.

The campaign achieved significant milestones: over 2.3 lakh memorials built in 36 States/UTs, nearly 4 crore pledge selfies uploaded, 2.36 crore indigenous saplings planted, and 2.63 lakh Amrit Vatikas created under the Vasudha Vandan theme.

The campaign also includes the Amrit Kalash Yatra, which involves collecting soil and rice grains from villages and urban wards across the country. These contributions are then mixed at various levels before reaching the National Capital.

The Amrit Vatika and Amrit Mahotsav Memorial, whose foundation stone will be laid by the Prime Minister, will be constructed using soil collected from every corner of the country.

The “Meri Maati Mera Desh” campaign marks the culmination of the “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav,” which began on March 12, 2021, to celebrate 75 years of India’s independence.

The “Mera Yuva Bharat (MY Bharat)” initiative aims to serve as a one-stop platform for the country’s youth, leveraging technology to provide opportunities and support for youth-led development in India. This initiative aligns with the Prime Minister’s vision to empower and inspire the youth to become change agents and nation builders.
