A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between New Jersey Economic Development Authority (NJEDA), / Rowan University, New Jersey, USA and National Research Development Corporation (NRDC), an Enterprise of Department of Scientific & Industrial Research, Ministry of Science & Technology, Govt. of India, New Delhi on 17th September, 2019.
Dr H Purushotham, Chairman & Managing Director, NRDC; Mr. Tim Sullivan, Chief Executive Officer, NJEDA and Dr. Beena Sukumaran, Vice President for Research, Rowan University has signed and exchanged the MoU in presence of Mr. Philip Dunton Murphy, Governor, Jew Jersey State and many senior officials from all the three organisations.
This MOU with NRDC is signed for Intensifying cooperation on innovation; Facilitating the identification of specific projects and partnerships between entities from India and New Jersey; Coordinating suitable resources and programs to support the R&D projects and Startups and Establishing a framework to provide financial support to jointly approved projects. Rowan University announced during the MoU singing ceremony that they will offer free office space to NRDC in their Technology Business Incubation Centre so that it can act as soft landing platform for Indian Start-ups in New Jersey.
