International Association of Advanced Materials (IAAM) Sweden honoured Dr. H.Purushotham, Chairman and Managing Director of National Research Development Corporation, Ministry of Science & Technology, Govt. of India with prestigious IAAM Medal 2017 for his outstanding R&D contributions in the Advanced Materials Science & Technology during award ceremony of IAAM held on 22nd August, 2017 in the European Advanced Materials Congress held from 22-24 August, 2017 at Seaside Auditorium, M/s Mariella, Stockholm, Sweden. 26 scientists across the world were honoured with the IAAM Medal 2017 and Dr. Purushotham is the only Indian Scientist received this IAAM Medal 2017 in a scintillating function attended by about 800 researchers / scientists representing 92 countries.Dr. Purushotham delivered the IAAM Medal lecture on “Commercialing advanced materials technologies from Indian R&D Institutions to industry-challenges and case studies”.
Many renowned scientists like Prof. Nile Martensson, Chairman of Nobel Committee in physics 2017 at the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences, Sweden; Prof.Z.L. Wang, High tower Chair Georgia Institute of Technology, USA and Founding Director Chinese Academy of Science; Prof. Luis M. Liz-Marzan, Spain; Prof. Hisatoshi Kobayashi, National Institute of Materials Science, Japan and Prof. Ashutosh Tiwari, Institute of Advanced Materials, Sweden gave invited and plenary lectures and honoured with awards for their outstanding contributions.
