NLCIL installs RO drinking water plant under CSR initiatives

As part of its CSR initiatives, with an aim to provide clean drinking water to the out patients and inmates  of the National Institute of Siddha,Tamilnadu, NLC India  Ltd. installed a 1000 LPH Capacity RO plant  at Institute premises, Tambaram Sanatorium, Chennai. The1000 LPH Capacity  R O plant was inaugurated by Shri R Vikraman , Director (Human Resources),NLCIL yesterday on 20.09.18 in the presence of Prof. V. Banumathi, Director, National   Institute of Siddha  and senior officials of NLCIL & NIS. Prof. V. Banumathi, Director, NIS  praised NLCIL  for its CSR initiatives and thanked NLCIL management for readily  accepting their request  and  providing  RO plant in a short span of time.

This  modern water Reverse Osmosis  plant has the capacity to purify 1000 Litres of water in an hour and it was  manufactured and installed by M/s TATA projects at  a cost of Rs. 14.16 lakh with three years of maintenance under NLCIL CSR Funds .

NLC India Ltd ‘s  CSR policy was  formulated based on the objectives of inclusive growth and sustainable development. Education, health, Infrastructures for the people in the periphery, sanitation, environment improvement, caring of Elders  and skill development are some of the significant welfare measures taken up by the company through CSR initiatives.
