July 1st every year is celebrated as Doctor’s Day to honour the renowned physician Dr. Bidhan Chandra Roy for his spIrit of dedication and commitments to the medical profession as well as the selfless service to humanity.In NLC India Ltd., the Doctor’s Day was celebrated at the NLCI General Hospital on 01.07.2017. Speaking on the occasion as Chief Guest, Dr. S.K. Acharya, the CMD of NLC India Ltd., appealed to the Doctor fraternity to re-dedicate themselves in transforming the NLCI hospital from a good one to a great one.
On this occasion, Dr. K.S. Soundarapandian, ED/Medical Services/NLCI (Retd.) was honoured. Marking the occasion, various wards and sections like Special wards, Pharmacy, O.P., Ortho O.P. etc., were re-dedicated to the public after carrying out improvements/modifications. Two battery operated cars were also dedicated for the use of elderly people at the General Hospital.
The functional directors,Shri Rakesh Kumar, Director/Finance, Shri Subir Das, Director/Mines, Shri V. Thangapandian, Director/Power, Shri P. Selvakumar, Director/P&P and Shri R. Vikraman, Director/HR, the Chief Vigilance Officer, Shri T. Venkata Subramanian, IRSME and other senior officials of NLC India participated in the celebrations held at the IMC Hall of the NLCI General Hospital.
