NLC CMD conferred with best “Chief Executive Corporate Management Excellence Award”

Shri Sarat Kumar Acharya CMD, NLC has been bestowed with the “Best Chief Executive Corporate Management Excellence Award” for the year 2015-16. During the inaugural function 16th Annual Geominetech International Symposium on theme “New Equipment,New Technology Management and Safety” during the National Technology Day Celebrations at Bhubaneswar .

The Award was conferred to Shri Acharya by the Indian Mineral Industry Journal, for his significant contributions towards excellent administration, acumen in resolving problems faced in Corporate Management, Human Resource and Personnel Management.

Shri Balvinder Kumar, IAS , Secretary, Ministry of Mines ,Govt Of India handed over the award to Shri Acharya in the presence of Shri S.N.Padhi –Director General of Mines Safety(Rtd)and Shri Thapan Kumar Chand CMD,NALCO Shri Acharya, delivered lecture on Coal Industry – NLC’s Contribution & Projection, in his speech, he informed the NLC ‘s present scenario and future projects and highlighted diversified and expansion plans to become a 19,000 MW company by 2020.

Also, in the same function Shri Subir Das,Director(Mines) was conferred with the “Best Corporate Director Management Excellence Award’ for 2015-16 for his significant contributions towards the growth of the organization.
