The Ghaziabad-Aligarh Expressway has achieved an extraordinary milestone by successfully laying Bituminous Concrete over a distance of 100 lane kilometers in an unprecedented duration of 100 hours. This accomplishment showcases the dedication and innovation of India’s road infrastructure sector. Shri Nitin Gadkari, the Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, commended the remarkable teams of Cube Highways, L&T, and Ghaziabad Aligarh Expressway Pvt Ltd (GAEPL) for their exceptional achievement.

During a virtual Celebration Ceremony, Shri Gadkari addressed the significance of the Ghaziabad-Aligarh section of NH34, which spans 118 kilometers and serves as a crucial transportation link between the densely populated regions of Ghaziabad and Aligarh. The project passes through various towns and cities in Uttar Pradesh, including Dadri, Gautam Buddh Nagar, Sikandrabad, Bulandshahr, and Khurja. It plays a vital role in facilitating trade and contributes to regional economic growth by connecting industrial areas, agricultural regions, and educational institutions.

To underscore their commitment to sustainability and cost-effectiveness, Shri Gadkari highlighted the implementation of Cold Central Plant Recycling (CCPR) technology in the project. This innovative green technology enables the utilization of 90% of the milled material, equivalent to approximately 20 lakh square meters of road surface. Consequently, the consumption of new materials has been reduced to a mere 10%. This approach has resulted in significant reductions in fuel consumption and associated greenhouse gas emissions, making a substantial contribution to lowering the carbon footprint.

Shri Gadkari emphasized that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, their focus remains on ensuring excellent mobility for all commuters while promoting commerce and driving economic activities in the region through the rapid development of world-class highways without compromising on quality.
