Indian Bureaucracy News Update : The Central Govt has appointed 4 Top Bureaucrats in India to important positions in the Cabinet, Defence, DDP & Lokpal , names are as follows : Cabinet Secretary , Defence Secretary, Lokpal Secretary and Defence Production Secretary
- Shri Rajiv Gauba IAS (Jharkhand 1982) presently Home Secretary has been appointed as Cabinet Secretary with a tenure of two years from 30.08.2019 or until further orders, whichever is earlier. The ACC has also approved the appointment of Shri Rajiv Gauba IAS as OSD in the Cabinet Secretariat from the date of his assumption of charge till he takes over as Cabinet Secretary.
- Shri Ajay Kumar IAS (Kerala 1985) presently Secretary- Department of Defence Production (DDP), Ministry of Defence has been appointed as Secretary- Department of Defence, Ministry of Defence vice Shri Sanjay Mitra IAS (West Bengal 1982).
- Shri Brij Kumar Agarwal IAS (Himachal Pradesh 1985) presently posted in the cadre has been appointed as Secretary- Lokpal (in the rank and pay of Secretary) .
- Shri Subash Chandra IAS (Karnataka 1986) presently Special Secretary- Department of Defence, Ministry of Defence has been appointed as Secretary- Department of Defence Production (DPP), Ministry of Defence vice Shri Ajay Kumar IAS (Karala 1985) upon his appointment as Secretary, Department of Defence, Ministry of Defence.
