Minister for Development of North Eastern Region Shri G. Kishan Reddy has informed that Under North East Special Infrastructure Development Scheme (NESIDS), Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region has sanctioned projects in various identified sectors as per the scheme guidelines. So far, 110 projects worth Rs.2563.14 crore in sectors such as connectivity, power, water supply, education and health, have been sanctioned in the North Eastern States under NESIDS.
During the financial year 2020-21, 17 projects worth Rs.491.71 crore have been sanctioned under NESIDS. The sector-wise details of projects are as under:

All projects are duly prioritized by the State Governments before they are sent to the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region for funding under NESIDS. These prioritized projects undergo several stages of examination inter alia the examination by Inter-Ministerial Committee at two separate stages for selection and sanction, as per scheme guidelines.
