Shri Nand Kumarum IAS (Madhya Pradesh 2008) presently President & CEO- National e-Governance Division (NeGD) has been given extension of entrustment of additional charge as Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, Digital India Corporation for a period of six months w.e.f. 09.07.2025 by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet.
Shri Nand Kumarum IAS is an accomplished civil servant known for his dynamic leadership, strategic vision, and forward-thinking approach to governance and digital transformation. A Petroleum Engineering graduate from the Indian School of Mines (ISM), where he earned First Class with Distinction, Shri Kumarum has consistently demonstrated excellence across a diverse range of administrative and technical roles, blending innovation with administrative efficiency.
Presently serving as the President & CEO of the National e-Governance Division (NeGD) under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Shri Nand Kumarum has been entrusted with an extension of additional charge as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Digital India Corporation (DIC). His leadership at NeGD has been instrumental in accelerating India’s digital transformation agenda, ensuring the effective implementation of citizen-centric digital initiatives and e-Governance projects across ministries and states.
Throughout his distinguished career, Shri Kumarum has held several key positions, including Director at Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA), where he contributed to capacity building and training of future administrators. Earlier, as Managing Director & CEO of the Madhya Pradesh State Electronics Development Corporation and Department of Information Technology and Communication, he led major digital initiatives aimed at modernizing governance systems, improving service delivery, and promoting transparency through technology.
His tenure as Managing Director, M.P. State Electricity Board, and M.P. Paschim Kshetra Vidyut Vitran Company Ltd., reflected his strong grasp of energy management and public utility governance. As District Collector of Anuppur and Neemuch, and as CEO of Zila Panchayats in Singrauli and Sagar, Shri Kumarum showcased an exceptional ability to implement welfare schemes at the grassroots level, ensuring efficiency and community engagement.
