Dr Nalin Shinghal presently Chairman and Managing Director, Central Electronics Limited (CEL) has been given extension for a period of one year w.e.f 22.02.2018. Dr Shinghal has done his B.Tech (Electrical Engg) from IIT-Delhi and PGDM from IIM(Calcutta). He has been a Commonwealth Scholar and has a PhD in Transport Economics from the University of Leeds/ UK.
His 24 year career spans a range of assignments in Private Sector, Public Sector and Government. He has worked with the Indian Railways in various capacities in Operations, Commercial & Marketing functions as well as with Concor where he has handled Marketing, Operations & IT.
He has also worked with the Long Range Decision Support group of the Ministry of Railways. Prior to his current position he was with the Indian Railways Catering & Tourism Corporation Ltd (IRCTC) as Director Tourism & Marketing heading the Travel & Tourism business of IRCTC which is today providing a range of tourism products & services and is best known for its E-Ticketing services.
Dr. Nalin Shinghal has published a number of articles in leading national & international journals in the areas of Transport Economics & Logistics. He is also associated with various professional bodies in eminent positions.
