National Aluminium Company Limited (NALCO), the Navratna PSU of Govt. of India, joined the nation in celebrating World Environment Day on June 5. To mark the occasion, massive plantation drives were undertaken at the company’s units and offices.
At Bhubaneswar, a plantation drive, along with awareness programme, was undertaken in Nalconagar premises. Smt. Preeti Roy, President, Nalco Mahila Samiti, graced the occasion as chief guest and planted a sapling. Notably, Shri Amiya Patnaik, GM(H&A), Shri Sanjay Mishra, GM(H&A), and Smt Trupti Dash, Secretary, Nalco Mahila Samiti participated in the plantation drive. Besides, a poster competition on environment for children and a competition on natural ornaments among ladies were also organized, as part of the celebration.
