As a part of the Vigilance Awareness week, Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited (MRPL) set up a kiosk at Mangalore City Corporation to enable the general public to take E-Integrity pledge by visiting the website of Central Vigilance Commission, i.e, www.cvc.nic.in. The kiosk was inaugurated by Ms Kavita Sanil, Mayor of Mangalore on 2-11-2017, who also took the E-Integrity pledge on the occasion. Speaking later she complimented MRPL for setting up the kiosk at MCC to enable the citizens to take the pledge and spreading the awareness among the general public. Shri Gokuldas Nayak, Dy.Commissioner of Mangalore City Corporation, Shri H Kumar, Managing Director, MRPL, Shri Rajeev Kushwah, CVO, MRPL, Shri BHV Prasad, GGM(HR) and other dignitaries were present on the occasion.
A similar kiosk was arranged at the Registrar’s office on 31-10-2017 and another one is proposed to be held at Zilla Panchayat office on 3-11-2017 by MRPL. Central Vigilance Commission, apex body for fighting the corruption has proposed an ‘’E Integrity pledge” for citizens, wherein general public are requested to visit the CVC website, www.cvc.nic.in and click the link and follow the instructions for taking the E-pledge. A certificate of appreciation would be issued by CVC which can be downloaded and printed for taking the pledge.
A ‘Satya Nishta Shibira’ for forming Integrity clubs for school students was organized by MRPL in association with Rotary Club of Mangalore Port Town on 1-11-2017. The program was inaugurated by Padma Bhushan Dr B.M.Hegde, Former Vice Chancellor of Manipal University. A walkathon was arranged in the afternoon, in which school students and citizens participated in association with MRPL. The walkathon was flagged off by Shri H Kumar, Managing Director, MRPL. Shri M Venkatesh, Director Refinery, Shri A K Sahoo, Director, Finance, Shri Rajeev Kushwah, CVO, MRPL and others were present on the occasion. A street play depicting the ill effects of corruption was staged near Ganeshpura, Kaikamba on the occasion.
