Indian Bureaucracy News, Bhopal, September 09, 2025| In yet another major administrative reshuffle, the Madhya Pradesh government issued a late-night order transferring 30 IPS officers. The development comes barely a day after the transfer of 20 IPS officers and follows closely on the heels of 14 IAS transfers, indicating a continued churn in top-level police postings in the state’s administrative set-up.

According to the latest notification, majority officers have been given new Superintendent of Police (SP) level postings across districts, specialised units and armed battalions, while two officers have been appointed as Additional Superintendents of Police (ASP). Among the notable changes, Riyaz Iqbal (2011 batch) has been appointed Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Ratlam. Districts such as Rewa, Sidhi, Umaria, Panna, Narmadapuram, Satna, Betul, Khargone, Sheopur, Maihar and Harda have all received new SPs. At the urban policing level, Bhopal and Indore have seen new Deputy Commissioners of Police (DCPs) appointed in multiple zones.

The reshuffle also saw a number of commandant-level appointments in the Special Armed Force (SAF), with postings to battalions in Morena, Jaora (Ratlam), Ujjain, Balaghat and Gwalior.

Movement in Bhopal and Indore
The capital city and Indore, both major centres of law and order, have witnessed changes. Eight officers were moved out of Bhopal to postings in Ratlam, Gwalior, Umaria, Balaghat and Harda. Indore saw two exits, with officers shifted to Sidhi and Satna. At the same time, four new officers have been inducted into Bhopal and two into Indore, taking charge of DCP zones, rural policing and specialised intelligence roles.
