Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said overall development of the country is the need of the hour. Addressing Sahkar Sammelan in New Delhi, he said, cooperative federalism can play a pivotal role in this regard.The Prime Minister said, there is a need to increase the income of farmers.
He said development of rural India is also important along with the development of urban India.Speaking on the occasion, Agriculture Minister Radha Mohan Singh said, government has provided Rs. 29,000 crore to cooperatives.He said, Centre will establish Laxman Inamdar cooperative institute at Gurugram next year.
