MoD | DDP institutionalizes Swachhta in all offices

The Department of Defence Production (DDP) has taken steps to institutionalize cleanliness in its offices nationwide, continuing the drive beyond the conclusion of the Special Campaign 2.0 in October 2022. This initiative extended from November 2022 to August 2023, involving the secretariat and affiliated/subordinate offices of the DDP. Throughout this period, the Department conducted cleanliness campaigns at 624 sites across the country, addressing 1734 pending public grievances and 451 public grievance appeals. Additionally, 4581 physical files were reviewed, and 3996 were closed due to completion of their retention period. Notably, a revenue of Rs. 46,43,637 has been generated from the sale of scrap, and 5517 square feet of space has been reclaimed.

During the Special Campaign 2.0, the department organized cleanliness drives at 585 sites across the nation. They successfully resolved 317 pending Public Grievances and 51 Public Grievance Appeals. Moreover, 1983 physical files underwent review, and 576 were closed as they had exceeded their retention period. Impressively, the sale of scrap generated a revenue of Rs. 13,06,61,431, and an area spanning 1,98,048 square feet was freed up.
