PIB News Update:Hon’ble Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, launched a nation wide Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, at Rajpath in New Delhi, 02 Oct 2014. The campaign aims to achieve the vision of a ‘Clean India’, by 02 Oct 2019.
In pursuance of the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, NCC has taken initiative to be an integral part of the movement and has actively participated and contributed to the Mission. Accordingly, a Cycle Rally’ was organised, with cadets riding from all over the country, on four different routes, starting from Thiruvananthapuram and Pudducherry in the South, Guwahatti in North East, Jammu in the North and Panajim in the West. The Pan India Cycle rally is culminating at India Gate, on 27 Sep 2019, for a Grand finale with the message of ‘Clean India, Green India.
Hon’ble Raksha Rajya Mantri, Shri Shripad Yesso Naik will be the Chief Guest for the flagging in ceremony. The event will be attended by many dignitaries, besides 1800 cadets, including 725 cyclists from all over India.
