Ministry of Labour and Employment Broadens Job Opportunities via Strategic Partnerships

The Ministry of Labour and Employment has signed Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with leading private job portals, companies, employers, and skill providers to integrate with the National Career Service (NCS) portal. These agreements aim to enhance employment opportunities and services for jobseekers on the NCS portal. The MoUs were signed with TeamLease HRtech (Freshersworld), Monster.com India Pvt Ltd referred as foundit, QUESS CORP Limited, Delivery Track (VSS Tech), KARPAGA Assessment APP MATRIX Services Private Limited (HireMee), QUIKR INDIA Private Limited, TCS iON, and Firstjob.co.in to share their vacancies with NCS portal.

Under these MoUs, private job portals will share their job vacancies on the NCS platform, allowing registered jobseekers to easily apply for these positions. The Ministry also partnered with TCS iON to provide free online soft skill employability training in both English and Hindi, improving jobseekers’ employability skills. Additionally, an MoU with KARPAGA Assessment APP MATRIX Services Private Limited (HireMee) enables jobseekers to self-assess their job suitability through aptitude tests. This will benefit employers as well, streamlining candidate selection.

More than 30 lakh eShram registered workers in the unorganized sector, who have joined NCS, will benefit from these collaborations. Smt. Arti Ahuja, Secretary of the Ministry of Labour and Employment, emphasized the importance of such partnerships in enhancing jobseeker opportunities. She also expressed the Ministry’s desire for further collaborations with government and private organizations to better serve jobseekers and employers.

Earlier, a meeting was held with representatives of placement organizations, employers, and private job portals to discuss ways to improve and strengthen the partnership with the NCS portal, addressing challenges in the employment process and proposing upgrades to the NCS platform.
