Scindia spearheaded a Swachhta Shramdaan in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, emphasizing the importance of citizen participation in the Swachhata Hi Seva Jan Andolan. All organizations under the Ministry of Civil Aviation joined hands in nationwide cleanliness drives, with Secretary Shri Vumlunmang Vualnam leading a dedicated effort at Rajiv Gandhi Bhawan, New Delhi.
The Swachhata Hi Seva (SHS) campaign, observed from September 15 to October 2, rallied communities for collective action, resonating with the theme of ‘Garbage Free India.’ The Ministry actively disseminated SHS 2023 messages, displayed informative materials at airports, conducted Swachhata pledges, and organized runs, engaging citizens across the nation.
In alignment with the Prime Minister’s call for “Ek Tareekh Ek Ghanta Ek Saath,” a massive cleanliness drive was executed on October 1, 2023. The Ministry of Civil Aviation and its affiliated organizations executed a comprehensive action plan, carrying out 140 events dedicated to cleanliness and Shramdaan, significantly contributing to the campaign’s objectives.
