Manoj Bhatt appointed DGP of Rajasthan

The Rajasthan government has appointed senior IPS officer Manoj Bhatt as the new Director General of Police. Bhatt would take over the charge of state police from Omendra Bhardwaj who retired on Saturday. Bhatt, till now was  Director General (DG),ACB.

Bhatt, who was holding the post of director general, Anti Corruption Bureau, hails from Udaipur. He studied at St Xavier’s School, Jaipur and later did B Sc from Mohanlal Sukhadia University, Udaipur. He also had a short stint as a probationary officer in State Bank of India.

He was superintendent of police in Sirohi, Alwar, Chittorgarh and Kota city. He was also inspector general of police, Bharatpur range, twice.
