Major Reshuffle in J&K, 22 JKAS Officers Transferred

Indian Bureaucracy, Jammu, December 11, 2024| The Government of Jammu and Kashmir, in a significant administrative reshuffle, transferred twenty-two officers of the Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Services (JKAS), making strategic changes across key sectors. The reshuffle impacts socially crucial and economically significant departments for the state, such as, Tourism, School Education, Handloom and Handicrafts, Power Distribution, Land Records, and Housing and Urban Development. Below is the detailed list of officers along with their new postings and assignments.

1. Shri Nisar Ahmad Wani JKAS (2008), presently awaiting orders of adjustment in the General Administration Department, is appointed as Member – J&K Special Tribunal (Srinagar Bench), J&K.
2. Dr Ghulam Nabi Itoo JKAS (2008), presently Mission Director, Jal Jeevan Mission, is transferred and appointed as Director – School Education, Kashmir, J&K.
3. Shri Gulzar Ahmad Dar JKAS (2008), presently Special Secretary to the Government, Housing and Urban Development Department, is transferred and appointed as Special Secretary to the Government, School Education Department, J&K.
4. Shri Bhawani Rakwal JKAS (2009), presently Transport Commissioner, J&K, is transferred and placed with General Administration Department for further posting.
5. Shri Vishesh Paul Mahajan JKAS (2010), appointed as Transport Commissioner, J&K.
6. Shri Mehmood Ahmad Shah JKAS, presently, Director, Handloom and Handicrafts, Kashmir, is transferred and appointed as Managing Director – Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited, J&K.
7. Shri Mussarat-ul-Islam JKAS, presently Managing Director, Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited, is transferred and appointed as Director – Handloom and Handicrafts, Kashmir, J&K.
8. Shri Vikas Gupta JKAS (2010), presently Special Secretary to the Government, Department of Disaster Management, Relief, Rehabilitation, and Reconstruction, is transferred and appointed as Director – Tourism, Jammu, J&K.
9. Shri Tassaduq Hussain Mir JKAS (2010), presently Director, School Education, Kashmir, is transferred and appointed as Special Secretary – ARI and Trainings Department, J&K.
10. Smt Kanta Devi JKAS (2010), presently Special Secretary to the Government, School Education Department, is transferred and appointed as Regional Director – Survey and Land Records (ex-officio Settlement Officer), Jammu, J&K.
11. Shri Syed Qamar Sajad JKAS (2010), presently Additional District Development Commissioner, Baramulla, is transferred and appointed as Managing Director – J&K Cable Car Corporation, J&K.
12. Shri Khurshid Ahmad Shah JKAS (2010), presently Special Secretary to the Government, Jal Shakti Department, is transferred and appointed as Mission Director – Jal Jeevan Mission, J&K.
13. Smt Anju Gupta JKAS (2011), presently Regional Director – Survey and Land Records (ex-officio Settlement Officer), Jammu, is transferred and appointed as Special Secretary – Housing and Urban Development Department, J&K.
14. Shri Parveez Ahmad Raina JKAS (2011), presently Member – J&K Special Tribunal (Srinagar Bench), is transferred and appointed as Additional Commissioner – State Taxes (Administration & Enforcement), Kashmir, J&K.
15. Shri Soheel Noor Shah JKAS (2012), presently Additional Secretary to the Government, Tourism Department, is transferred and appointed as Additional Secretary to the Government, Department of Forest, Ecology and Environment, J&K.
16. Shri Masarat Hashim JKAS (2013), presently Programme Officer, ICDS Project, Pulwama, is transferred and appointed as Chief Executive Officer – Tourism Development Authority, Pahalgam, J&K.
17. Shri Qazi Irfan Rasool Zargar JKAS, presently Registrar-cum-Controller of Examinations, SKIMS, Soura, Srinagar, is transferred and appointed as Regional Transport Officer – Kashmir, J&K.
18. Shri Mohammad Aslam JKAS (2015), presently Joint Director, Information, Kashmir, is transferred and appointed as Registrar-cum-Controller of Examinations – SKIMS, Soura, Srinagar, J&K.
19. Shri Garbi Rashid JKAS (2016), presently Additional Secretary to the Government, Floriculture, Parks and Gardens Department, is transferred and appointed as Director – Land Management, Jammu Development Authority, J&K.
20. Shri Vivek Modi JKAS (2017), presently Director – Land Management, Jammu Development Authority, is transferred and appointed as Additional Secretary to the Government, Floriculture, Parks and Gardens Department, J&K.
21. Shri Tariq Hussain JKAS (2017), presently Chief Executive Officer – Tourism Development Authority, Pahalgam, is transferred and appointed as Chief Executive Officer – Tourism Development Authority, Gulmarg, J&K.
22. Shri Syed Shahnawaz JKAS (2018), presently Regional Transport Officer – Kashmir, is transferred and appointed as Joint Director – Information, Kashmir, J&K.
