Shri M Mahender Reddy IPS(Telangana 1986) presently City Police Commissioner, Hyderabad has been appointed as Director General of Police (DGP), Telangana vice DGP Shri Anurag Sharma to retire on November 12.
The top cop will assume the post on Sunday.according to an official release, Chief Minister Shri K Chnadrasekhar Rao cleared the file pertaining to Reddy’s appointment as in-charge DGP.
Shri M Reddy is graduate in civil engineering from National Institute of Technology (then known as Regional Engineering College) of Warangal, Mr. Reddy got selected for IPS while pursuing M.Tech. in Indian Institute of Technology of Delhi.
He served as Assistant SP of Godavarikhani in Karimnagar and Guntur town, Additional SP of Bellampally in Adilabad and SP of Nizamabad and Kurnool districts. He was East zone DCP in Hyderabad commissionerate for three years from 1995.
