New Delhi: Lt Gen CG Muralidharan has taken over as the Director General of Medical Services (Army) from Lt Gen Sadhna S Nair, AVSM, VSM, who superannuated on 30 September 2025 after rendering over four decades of exemplary and distinguished service to the nation.

An alumnus of the prestigious Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC), Pune, Lt Gen CG Muralidharan was commissioned into the Army Medical Corps (AMC) in 1987. A highly regarded radiologist, the General Officer has had an illustrious career marked by a fine blend of clinical excellence, professional competence, and administrative acumen. Over the years, he has held several key command, staff, and instructional appointments, contributing significantly to the growth and modernization of the Army Medical Services.

Lt Gen Muralidharan has served in a wide range of medical echelons across the Northern and Western theatres, gaining rich experience in operational medicine and healthcare delivery in challenging terrains and high-altitude areas.
