On the occasion of the International Women’s Day, Kalyanmayee – the Airports Authority of India Women Welfare Association, organized a Mahila Swaasthya Jaanch Shivir with support from NGOs like AOGIN India and CANSupport to examine women for reproductive health, especially for Cancer. The camp was organized at Swami Vivekanand Basti in Chanakyapuri, New Delhi.
This year, the theme for the International Women’s Day is ‘Be Bold For Change.’ AAI has always stood for gender equality and has always supported women to be bolder, stronger and more powerful in all spheres of life. Healthier women make a stronger nation. Aligning itself to this year’s theme, Kalyanmayee organized a health camp to create healthier bodies and stronger minds.
Kalyanmayee celebrates the International Women’s Day every year by organizing various activities aimed towards the betterment of the society. It is an extended arm of AAI by women employees and the wives of AAI officials with a pan-India presence and is headed by Mrs. Anjali Mohapatra as the All India President. Kalyanmayee assists AAI in planning and executing various social, cultural and educational welfare activities and also works for the benefit of the families of AAI employees and the society at large.
