Shri K S Dwivedi IPS (Bihar 1984) presently DG training, Bihar has been appointed as new Director General of Police (DGP) of Bihar . Shri Dwivedi was the Superintendent of Police (SP) of Bhagalpur during the infamous 1989 riots and was even indicted by the Inquiry Commission later. The current DGP of Bihar Shri P K Thakur will retire on February 28, thus Dwivedi taking over the post from March 1. Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar gave priority to Dwivedi under the guidance of the Bihar Police Manual.
