An Indian delegation, led by Additional Secretary (Defence Production) Shri T Natarajan, participated in the 16th Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace Exhibition (LIMA 23) held in Langkawi, Malaysia from May 22-25, 2023. LIMA, established in 1991 and organized biennially, is renowned as one of the largest maritime and aerospace exhibitions in the Asia-Pacific region. The event featured the participation of over 600 exhibitors from more than 30 countries, including India.
During the exhibition, the Indian delegation had the opportunity to showcase India’s advancements in the maritime and aerospace sectors, as well as explore potential collaborations and partnerships with other participating countries and industry players. The event provided a platform for networking, exchanging knowledge, and fostering cooperation among stakeholders in the maritime and aerospace domains.
Additionally, on the sidelines of the exhibition, the Additional Secretary (Defence Production) also had a meeting with the Malaysian Minister of Defence, Dato’ Seri Mohamad Hasan. The meeting aimed to further strengthen bilateral defense ties and explore avenues for cooperation between India and Malaysia in the defense production sector. Participation in international exhibitions like LIMA enables India to showcase its capabilities, forge partnerships, and contribute to the growth and development of the global maritime and aerospace industries. It offers opportunities to engage with industry leaders, promote technological advancements, and foster collaboration for mutual benefit.
