Indian Bureaucracy News, Chandigarh, June 26, 2026 | In a recent administrative flip (dt 26.06.2026), the Haryana government has reversed key postings issued just a day earlier (25.06.2026 Click Here), reassigning S Narayanan IFoS back to Higher Education as Director General, while Prabhjot Singh IAS – originally moved to State Transport – now takes over as DG Environment and Secretary, Forests & Wildlife. The swift revision places Virender Kumar Dahiya IAS at State Transport, completing a three-way portfolio rejig within 24 hours. Meanwhile, Chanderkant Kataria HCS has been given additional charge as Land Acquisition Officer of Panchkula.
List of the officers with their recently designated positions and new appointments is detailed below.
- Shri Prabhjot Singh IAS (Haryana 2010), who was transferred from the department of Technical Education of the state yesterday, and designated as Director General, State Transport, Haryana, was today appointed as Director General (DG) – Environment and Secretary – Environment, Forest and Wildlife Department, Haryana, in place of S Narayanan IFoS (Haryana 1997).
- Shri S Narayanan IFoS (Haryana 1997), who was transferred from the Higher Education Department of the state yesterday, and designated as Haryana’s new Director General of Environment and Secretary, Department of Environment, Forests & Wildlife Department, has now been reassigned to his previous Department as Director General (DG), Higher Education, Haryana, and Secretary of the department.
- Shri Virender Kumar Dahiya IAS (Haryana 2013), who was transferred from the Environment Department of the state yesterday, and designated as the Director and Special Secretary of Higher Education Department, with additional charge of Technical Education of the state, was today appointed as Director – State Transport, Haryana, a position that was until recently held by Shri Prabhjot Singh IAS (Haryana 2010).
- Shri Chanderkant Kataria HCS (Haryana 2020), presently Sub Divisional Officer (SDO), Civil, Panchkula, is given additional charge of Land Acquisition Officer – Panchkula.
