Government accords high priority to homoeopathy development

The Centre has accorded high priority to the development of homoeopathy along with other traditional systems of medicine. This was stated by the Union Minister of State for AYUSH, Shripad Yesso Naik while speaking at the foundation day of the National Institute of Homoeopathy in Kolkata yesterday.

He said Homoeopathy has assumed prominence as a system of medicine and gained unfathomable popularity throughout the country after Independence. Mr Naik announced allocation of 60 crore rupees for the first phase of expansion of the institute and 30 crore rupees each for the second and third phases.
