Deepak Mishra IFoS given premature repatriation to parent cadre
Shri Deepak Mishra IFoS (Kerala 1996) presently Joint Secretary- Department of Chemicals and Petrochemicals has been given premature repatriation to his parent cadre for availing the benefit of promotion in the cadre.
Shri Deepak Mishra is a senior officer of the Indian Forest Service and is presently serving as Joint Secretary (Petrochemicals) in the Department of Chemicals and Petrochemicals under the Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, Government of India. In this role, he is responsible for policy formulation, strategic initiatives, and the promotion of growth and investment in India’s petrochemical sector.
Over the course of his career, Mr. Mishra has held several important assignments in forestry, environmental management, training, and research institutions. He has served in multiple capacities within the Kerala Forest and Wildlife Department, where he contributed to forest conservation, wildlife protection, and sustainable resource management initiatives.
He has also been associated with premier forestry and research institutions, including the Indira Gandhi National Forest Academy in Dehradun, the apex training institute for Indian Forest Service officers. In addition, he has worked with the Indian Council of Forestry Research and Education, where he contributed to research, capacity building, and policy support related to forestry and environmental management.
During his tenure at the Department of Chemicals and Petrochemicals, Mr. Mishra has spearheaded several initiatives aimed at strengthening India’s petrochemical ecosystem. His efforts have focused on promoting investment, encouraging innovation, and supporting policy measures designed to boost domestic production and enhance the competitiveness of the petrochemical industry.
With extensive experience across forestry administration, institutional training, and central government policy roles, Shri Deepak Mishra brings a diverse administrative perspective to his current responsibilities in the petrochemical sector, contributing to the Government of India’s broader industrial and economic development agenda.
