Shri Rakesh kumar, CMD, NLC India Limited, inaugurated newly constructed Dining Hall, Kitchen and Washing room and additional facilities in the presence of Shri V.Anbuselvan IAS, Distrct Collector,Cuddlore, Shri R.Vikraman,Director (HR), NLCIL at Town Hall in Cuddalore town on 29.09.2018 .The facilities at Town Hall,Cuddalore provided by NLCIL at a cost of Rs. 69.00lakhs under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) intitiatives.
Also, Shri Rakesh Kumar, inaugurated Advanced Skill development Centre and other facilities like Tailoring Shed, renovated Shri Subramaniya Bharathiyar Museum and Agro Forestry facilities at Central Prison ,Cuddlaore provided at a cost of Rs.65.35Lakhs under Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme of NLCIL in the presence of Shri V.Anbuselvan,IAS,Distrct Collector,Cuddlore, Shri A.Murugesan , DIG(Prisons) Vellore Range and senior officials of NLCIL.
NLCIL always strives to provide the access to basic infrastructure, quality education, Health and Skill development facilities to its stakeholders, who are essentially the communities who live in periphery. As part of this NLCIL has provided Tailoring shed covering an area of 30MX6M with steel trussed galvalume sheet roofing and Turbo ventilators at Central Prison ,Cuddlaore . Aditionally, NLCIL equipped Skill Develpoment Centre with advanced sewing Machineries like Post Bed ,Flat Bed sewing machienes,Leather cutting,storable, binding and strap cutting machienes for enhancing cap productions.
Also, it has provided two numbers of borewells with submersible pumps to operate at head of 120M for facilitating irrigation for Agro Forestry. It also renovated the museum constructed in memory of great patriotic poet Shri Subramaniya Bharathiyar, who had been prisioned here during the period 20.11.1918 to 14.12.1918.NLCIL senior officials Shri N.Muthu,ED/HR, Shri R.Mohan,CGM,CSR,Shri S.R. Sekar,GM/TA of NLCIL and other officials from Cuddlaore District Authority participated the programmes.
