Shri Balraj Joshi, Chairman and Managing Director, NHPC, India’s premier hydro power company met Hon’ble Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, Shri Trivendra Singh Rawat on 15th March 2018 at Dehradun. During the meeting, CMD, NHPC apprised Hon’ble Chief Minister about the status of all the Survey and Investigation projects and Power Stations of NHPC in the State of Uttarakhand. The Hon’ble Chief Minister was also briefed about benefits from Hydro Projects to the State and the nation as a whole.
During the meeting, a special emphasis was given on the status of Garba Tawaghat Project at India-Nepal Border. The Hon’ble Chief Minister assured all support for the NHPC Projects. CMD, NHPC also met Smt. Radhika Jha, Secretary (Power) and briefed her about the status of all the survey and investigation projects and assistance required for their early clearance and implementation.
