RashtriyaEktaDiwas (National Unity Day), to pay tribute to SardarVallabhbhai Patel (as this happens to be his birthday) is celebrated across offices and projects of SJVN today. Known as Iron Man of India Sardar Patel was instrumental in keeping India united. The celebration was marked by organizing various programmes in SJVN.
At its Corporate Office at Shimla Shri A.S. Bindra, Director (Finance) administered oath of unity to the employees who gathered in large number on this occasion.Shri N.L. Sharma, Director (Personnel),Shri R.K. Bansal Director (Electrical) and Shri Kanwar Singh, Director (Civil) were also present on this occasion.
On this occasion Director (Personnel) Shri N.L. Sharma, told in detail about the life and achievements of SardarVallabhbhai Patel and his contribution in keeping India United. He further added that we have to follow the footsteps of these great men for keeping India strong at every front.
Similarly, at the project locations of SJVN viz Jhakri, Bayal, Hamirpur, Bithal, Buxar, Naharlagun Heads of Projects administered the oaths of National Unity to the employees. On this occasion various programmes such as run for unity and declamation contests were also organized.
