Shri R Vikraman, Director (HR) inaugurated the newly constructed Bharathiyar Auditorium at NLC Higher Secondary School, Manadarakuppam named after the renowned poet Mahakavi Bharathiyar on his birth anniversary on 11-12-2019. During his inaugural address Shri Vikraman, an alumunus of NLC Higher Secondary School, Mandarakuppam recalled his attachment with the school he had 40 years back. Further he recollected his school days during which he used to travel to various other schools in Thittakudi, Virdhachalam for attending various competitions like Essay writing, elocution, due to non-availability of an auditorium in his school.
He insisted that all the students and faculties to utilize the auditorium facility by organizing all types of competitions in order to enable the students of NLC Higher Secondary School, Manadarakuppam and nearby schools to excel themselves in areas other than education also.
He further added that, as an alumnus of the school, he felt privileged for being a part of this Trinity Function which included the inauguration of Auditorium, birthday celebration of the great poet Mahakavi Bharathiyar and an Alumni Meet.
Senior officials of NLC India Limited, Shri R. Mohan, CGM/CSR, Education, sports & Culture, Shri Jagadish Chandra Mazumdar, CGM / Mine II and Shri S.R. Sekar, CGM / TA were also present during the function. Head Master, Teachers, Staff members, Students and Alumni members of the NLC Higher Secondary School, Mandarakuppam also participated enthusiastically in the programme.
Earlier during the day, Shri R. Vikraman also laid foundation to construct 58 new class rooms in a three floor building for Jawahar Higher Secondary School (CBSE), Block 24 of Neyveli Township.
