Shri Balasubramanyam Sriram presently MD, State Bank of India (SBI),has been given additional charge as MD & CEO, IDBI Bank Limited, vice Shri Mahesh Kumar Jain, for a temporary period of three months with effect from the date of Shri Jain’s demitting office of MD & CEQ IDBI Bank Limited.
Shri B Sriram MD and Group Executive of National Banking at State Bank of India since July 2014. Shri B Sriram served as the MD of State Bank of Bikaner & Jaipur from March 1, 2013 to July 16, 2014. He served as the CGM of Delhi at State Bank of India and also CGM of Rupee Markets & Global Markets at nation’s premier bank State Bank of India (SBI). He worked in various roles in domestic as well as in international markets at SBI. . Shri Sriram serves as a Director of Gujarat State Energy Generation Limited and HDFC Venture Capital Limited. He served as a Director of State Bank of Bikaner & Jaipur from March 1, 2013 to July 16, 2014, SBI Life Insurance Company Limited since February 16, 2015 until March 15, 2016. Shri Sriram as a Non Executive Director of Multi Commodity Exchange of India Ltd., from April 2010 to January 10, 2012. He served as a Director of National Bulk Handling Corporation Ltd. He holds CAIIB certification. Mr. Sriram holds M.Sc., in Physics from St. Stephen’s College, Delhi and has an AIMA Diploma in Management.
