TRIFED celebrates World Honey Bee Day -indianbureaucracy

Union Minister for Tribal Affairs, Shri Arjun Munda, will inaugurate the Aadi Mahotsav, the National Tribal Festival, on October 25th in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. The festival is being organized by the Tribal Cooperative Marketing Development Federation of India Limited (TRIFED), under the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, and will take place from October 25th to November 3rd, 2023, at Ahmedabad Hat, Vastrapur.

The Aadi Mahotsav provides a unique opportunity to explore India’s indigenous heritage, culture, craftsmanship, culinary traditions, and economic activities. The event will feature over 100 stalls showcasing the diversity of India’s tribal culture, including handicrafts, handloom products, pottery, jewelry, and a special focus on “Millets grown by Tribals.”

Additionally, 74 stalls will highlight organic and craft items, adding further variety to the offerings. There will be four stalls dedicated to promoting tribal cuisine, with the Dangi dish being a prominent culinary attraction. Fifteen additional stalls will feature products from Van Dhan Vikas Kendras (VDVK), including items crafted from mushrooms, mahua flowers, nagali millets, mango pickles, bamboo articles, and wild honey.

The event is expected to be attended by dignitaries such as Member of Parliament Smt. Ramilaben Bara and Dr. Kuber Bhai Dindor, the Minister of Tribal Development for the Government of Gujarat, along with senior officials from TRIFED.
