Indian Bureaucracy News, Amaravati, September 20, 2025 | The state government on June 20, 2025, issued appointment and transfer orders affecting nine IAS officers, including seven who had been awaiting fresh postings. Senior bureaucrat Dr Mallikarjuna has been given additional charge of the State Election Commission, while Shri Mallarapu, presently Additional Commissioner of the AP Capital Region Development Authority, has been transferred as Joint Collector and Additional District Magistrate of Krishna district.
The order also brings a new Managing Director at APGENCO, a new Director for the Rehabilitation and Resettlement Department, and a new Inspector General of Registration and Stamps.
The detailed list of officers with their present and new postings is provided below.
- Shri S Nagalakshmi IAS (Andhra Pradesh 2012), presently awaiting posting, is appointed as Managing Director – Andhra Pradesh Power Generation Corporation Limited (AP GENCO), Energy Department, relieving Shri KVN Chakradhar Babu IAS (AP 2011).
- Dr Mallikarjuna A IAS (Andhra Pradesh 2012), presently Director, Backward Class Welfare, Andhra Pradesh, is given additional charge of Secretary – Andhra Pradesh State Election Commission.
- Smt P Prasanthi IAS (Andhra Pradesh 2014), presently awaiting posting, is appointed as Director – Rehabilitation & Resettlement, Andhra Pradesh.
- Shri B R Ambedkar IAS (Andhra Pradesh 2015), presently awaiting posting, is appointed as Inspector General – Registration & Stamps, Andhra Pradesh, relieving Shri G Veerapandian IAS (AP 2009).
- Shri Sridhar Chamakuri IAS (Andhra Pradesh 2016), presently awaiting posting, is appointed as Director – Excise & Prohibition, Andhra Pradesh.
- Shri Amilineni Bhargav Teja IAS (Andhra Pradesh 2018), presently awaiting posting, is appointed as Additional Commissioner – Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority (APCRDA), Municipal Administration & Urban Development Department, relieving Shri Mallarapu Naveen IAS (AP 2019).
- Shri Mallarapu Naveen IAS (Andhra Pradesh 2019), presently in the Municipal Administration & Urban Development Department, is appointed as Joint Collector and Additional District Magistrate – Krishna District, Andhra Pradesh.
