The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the following:
(i) The assignment of additional charge of the post of Secretary, Department of Defence Research and Development to Shri R.K. Mathur, IAS(MT:77), Defence Secretary for a period of three months with effect from the date of relinquishment of charge by the current incumbent, Shri Avinash Chander, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
(ii) The appointment of Ms. Reena Ray, IAS (UT:84), at present in the cadre, as Additional Secretary, Department of School Education and Literacy in the vacancy of Ms. Vrinda Sarup, IAS(UP:81)
